Areum Kim is a researcher, at the Psychiatry Department in Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine. 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Crown College and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Seoul National University of Education. 

With Minnesota teaching certifications, she has teaching experience in public and private schools across the United States, Australia, and South Korea. Having lived in various countries, including the Philippines, the United States, and Australia, she embraces a unique third-culture perspective in her clinical research. 

She loves to play soccer and violin.
